Exeter, Ontario - Jennie Rowe's grandchildren and great-grandchildren play under the shade of a tree on the front lawn of South Huron District High School. Jennie turned 80 today, and still runs the school cafeteria after more than 40 years in the business.

You should see how many people give Toffee attention when they walk by our apartment. She loves jumping up at the window and saying hello. A very jealous Shay-Z (too short to see) makes far more noise.

Here's Rachel Mungar riding the elevated train around Chicago. It was a great time, and I'm glad I joined the South Huron District High School music department on this trip. Thanks for asking, Isaac Moore!

On top of the Western Hemisphere
Here's me recreating the scene from Ferris Bueller's Day Off, where they visit the Sears Tower. Now it's being renamed the Willis Tower; our architectural tour guide called it the "What you talkin' 'bout Willis Tower." BTW, couldn't see a thing, it was so cloudy. Below us.

I was in Chicago for four days, but I'm going to post six photos from there... needed a couple days to recover. They're out of order, but these are my favourites from the trip. Here's our brief visit to the Chicago Theatre.

I'm heading to the land of Lincoln and Barack Obama tomorrow with the South Huron District High School music department. I'm not sure whether I will be able to post while there, but I will be doing photos all the while, so I may have to post those photos when I get back.

Well, that was a quick experiment, and expensive at that. While trying to shoot at the beach, I crash landed the camera I bought yesterday a couple too many times. Now the lens doesn't open and the camera is DOA. That set me back $150 and some time trying to figure out whether this is financially worth it. Mild heart attack.
On that note, if you have a spare Canon camera that you don't care about, I'll take it up on my kite and give you a print. Drop me a line. Even better, if you have a Pentax W30 or W60 you want to sell, I'm in the market for an affordable one.

We got my new kite off the ground today with a camera, and this is a photo from the first batch. Like the strawberries, it's a little early to know how it's going to go, but so far, I think it's going to be very good! More to come.

Perhaps that's what my date(s) said about me... oh, well! South Huron's small gym (where I've been to many a prom) hosted its final performance of Zombie Prom tonight, and it was very, very good. Bravo! Left, Megan Forrester as Toffee (my dog's name, too!) and right, Mathias Memmel as Jonny Warner.
